Partnering with long-time customer, Lystek International, BSE was tasked with the electrical design, controls and site supervision of Lystek’s first US plant. The project included design and supply of a new high voltage switching scheme that accommodated two independent radial 13.8kV feeds, a main service that will accommodate a future Main-Tie-Main dual ended feed, multiple motor control centers, a PLC based control system with distributed I/O and a plant wide SCADA system.

BSE supplied many of the major components including transformers, motor control centers, and control panels. Our commitment to the project did not end at equipment supply. We assisted with the evaluation and selection of a local electrical contractor and worked with the contractor to ensure a smooth installation and hand over. BSE staff traveled back and forth to the site monthly to ensure any issues were dealt with promptly, meeting the client's high expectations.

We have continued to manage all changes and maintain the site's operation from our home base in Waterloo. We maintain a current material database and inventory as well as drive and PLC programming files and parameters ready to be preloaded onto hardware which we can ship directly to site within 24 hours to keep the plant up and running.
